Product Description

Lightweight hand squeezer for dimpling skins and squeezing rivets

30% Lighter Weight, 65% Less Effort Required!

  • This squeezer outperforms all other squeezers on the market.
  • As with all of the tools we sell, pull it out of the box and give it a try, if you don't agree, send it back.
  • We recommend the 3" reach yoke for general applications (available in kit also).
  • The larger yokes tend to get heavy for repeated work.
  • Yokes sold separately. (to say it yet again, the price above is for squeezer body only yokes are purchased separately depending on the size required)
  • Quick change yoke pins (SQP-20) included with this squeezer.

NOTE:  This squeezer is intended for 3/32" & 1/8" solid Aluminum rivets only.

Why should you choose The Cleaveland Hand Squeezer

  • Manufactured from 6061-T6 Aluminum, with anodized finish.
  • Weight (no yoke) is 19oz. (29oz. for next lightest competitor).
  • Size is 13-1/4" L, 3-1/8" W and 15/16" D (without yoke).
  • Force required to set an AN470-4-2.5 is 22.4 lbs. at the end of the handles (64 lbs. for Tatco & Avery).
  • This unit does not use the standard cam action found on all other squeezers.
  • A new innovative patented design sets the rivet with 35% of the force required on other models.
  • Threaded ram is easily adjustable to compensate for various rivet lengths & dimple dies. Features 32-pitch thread, making one full rotation 1/32” length change (e.g. AN4263-3 and AN4263-3.5 are 1/32" different in length, so one rotation of the ram is all it takes to adjust from one size to the other)
  • Quick change yoke pins allow you to rapidly change yokes without using tools.
  • The Cleaveland Hand Squeezer accepts pneumatic 214C style yokes which can also be used on a pneumatic squeezer body.
  • Compare quality, features and price of other hand squeezers and you will find this is an outstanding value!

    The Cleaveland Hand Squeezer Story

All of the hand squeezers on the market today are a variation of the first version that was designed for "Rosie the Riveter" in WWII.  At that time words like "ergonomics" or "carpal tunnel syndrome" were not in anyone's vocabulary and no one cared.  Our country was fighting for it's life.
But this is the 21st century.  Quality materials, CAD design techniques, high speed prototyping, and computer controlled machining centers allow us to do what was never possible before.
Cleaveland Aircraft Tool offers a 21st century version of the hand rivet squeezer!
This new hand squeezer takes advantage of a different method of increasing mechanical advantage.  Only a small amount of power needs to be applied to the handles.  No more grunting and groaning.  No more pectoral muscle cramps.  You can now set 1/8" rivets with minimal effort.  If you have tried another squeezer, this squeezer will amaze you!

Indispensable tool. It is pricey, but great tools make great work.

Best rivet squeezer I have ever used.

Main Squeeze

My advice to a new builder looking to buy a squeezer. This one is it! I own two other hand squeezers which work fine for dimpling but will give me “tennis elbow” when squeezing -4 or 1/8” rivets due to the design of them.
The Main Squeeze has a built in cam system which changes the whole game and feels like it does 3/4’s of the actual squeezing thus reducing the issues with my elbows totally after even squeezing for hours.
It’s easy to use and sets rivets perfect every time with ease. I now use my other two squeezers strictly for dimpling of -3 (3/32) & -4 (1/8). I purchased the 3” yoke with the squeezer and I believe it gets most of what i need to reach on an RV-12iS build.

The tool names says it all. This squeezer absolutely outperforms any other hand squeezer on the market. It was my first squeezer and since purchasing I’ve used many others. This is the one to have hands down. Super Quality Product!

Love it so far!

I bought this tool as a supplement to my pneumatic squeezer. Don't believe whoever tells you a pneumatic squeezer is strictly better.

First, a manual squeezer gives more control. Sometimes I can only reach a rivet once I partially close the tool -- much easier to do with the manual one! Saved me from drilling out a couple of crooked rivets or ruining a part.

I can also partially squeeze and check the results as I go.

Second, it is thinner and sometimes fits into places where my pneumatic one would not (of course, I can always just buck them with the rivet gun).

I don't have experience with any other manual squeezer, but this one is very easy to operate, even for -4 rivets.

So far I found it works the best for me when I need to install hard-to-reach rivets or rivets that are critical to installing correctly (rivets holding a skeleton together, for example). I use my pneumatic squeezer when I need "mass production", like dimpling many similar holes or squeezing rivets along the edge. However, I can totally see it being used as the only squeezer.

The quick-change pins were a real pain to remove the first few times, but eventually, rubber wore in and now they are much easier to pull. Also, I found that cleco pliers have the perfect size to take the pins out! Press the pins on the opposite side, and pull them out with cleco pliers. Works well enough.

P.S. I am an inexperienced builder working on my empennage kit, so take everything with a grain of salt.
